Precedents/Inspiration
Richard Vantielcke
Vantielcke constructed a project in which he expressed a man who is inquisitive which lands him in trouble which introduces the box in the subjects head, I like the idea of not being able to see the subjects emotions and I like the aspect that as we see there is a smile in the box that we instantly think that the subject is happy but he may not actually be happy. Very effective and I like the concept, I would like to apply these to my own work having a subject in their everyday context and life.
My favorite images from the video:
The construction of this image is amazing using the rule of third with the subject in the middle showing his struggle
Slow shutter speed used to construct this effective image showing the subjects struggle as he gets taken over by the box
Light in the last two images are used very effectively as you can see he uses existing light in the underground alley ways which is effectively placed in the image to make an effective image.

This precedent image gives me lots of inspiration as it is constructed in the way that I want to present my series of images for my presentation. My subject being my brother will be doing his daily routine and the portrait he will hold up in place of his face will be something he would rather be doing but images perfectly to fit the same proportion and everything.
I will construct a story board to express my idea more clearly and also take another shoot and start to construct my images for my final presentation. I am specifically looking at narration in the image as it will narrate the idea that we all work ourselves into our graves but we all rather be doing something else in our minds.
