Drug Research
Since for my remediations I want to remediate the effect that the drugs have on people I need to research briefly what they do so I can interpret this through my work.
Symptoms:
- Marijuana = Rapid heart rate, Increased blood pressure, Increased rate of breathing, Red eyes, Dry mouth, Increased appetite, or "the munchies", Slowed reaction time
- Cocaine = an increasing sense of energy and alertness, an extremely elevated mood, a feeling of supremacy, On the other hand, some people describe other feelings tagging along with the high:, irritability, paranoia, restlessness, anxiety, Signs of using cocaine include:, dilated pupils, high levels of energy and activity, excited, exuberant speech
- Alcohol = Slurred or incoherent speech, Poor balance and clumsiness, Delayed reflexes, Stomach pains, vomiting or nausea, Loss of consciousness or blacking-out, Redness of the face during or after periods of consumption
- Ecstasy = A flash of exhilaration, Heightened sense of touch, Euphoria, Confidence, Increased intimacy with others (strangers or those already known to them), Hallucinations, Lowered inhibitions, which may encourage unsafe sex, Alertness - wide awake feeling
- Petroleum = Euphoria, Numbness, Disorientation, Hallucinations, Slurred speech, Lack of coordination, Slowed down reflexes, Increased libido, Dizziness, A feeling of lightness, Disassociation with the environment, Coughing, Vomiting, Impaired decision making, Muscle weakness, Increased chattiness and extroversion
After doing this research I have a good basis on each drug and how to remediate each image to create an effective series and convey my idea effectively.
