Project One Part A - ReDesign

Original Form to emphasize my sketches and to keep what it used to look like in your head

For my first sketch I wanted to show how I will change the aesthetics for this redesign, I want it in a circular shape as it fits the hand nicer and it also look more appealing to the eye, after discussing with my tutor Dan we decided that a square base would be an effective contrast to the cylindrical body. 

 In these sketches Ive displayed how it will look more effectively, in the first sketch you can see its a cylindrical shape with the square base but after discussing with my tutor we have decided that the whole redesign would be more effective if we flipped it side ways as it creates a different and more interesting perspective but serves the same purpose. The torch aspect will slot in side which will be help by magnets, I have eliminated the middle section of lights also as they are not necessary and with the other led it is sufficient lighting in the dark.

 Here is a sketch of the dimensions for my redesigned model including the base and the torch product,
from this I can start to make my product and put it all together.

From this I can now start in solid works to model my redesign in 3D and then I can work from that to make my resolved redesigned lighting device.
