Performing my activity: Brushing my Teeth
Documentation as I perform this activity:
Process: Walking to the bathroom before or after a shower, turn on all four switches, turn the tap on to cold at a good steady rate, I have a set water rate which cant hit the middle of the circle, once the chosen water rate is set then I grab my brush in my left hand with my left applying the tooth brush, I apply a liberal amount which has to be perfect, must cover all of the bristles. Once applied I place in my mouth and then do 20 motions of up and down across the mouth, then 20 of across on both sides, then 20 motions of circular motion/improvising anything that comes to mind. Once finished I gargle the remaining tooth paste in my mouth and then spit it all out to remove all of the tooth paste, sometimes requires three to four spits. Then I clean my brush and place back for later in the day before bed.
Sense Throughout my Brushing of my teeth:
- Smell - As I turn on the tap water is smell less so I cant smell anything other than the aroma of my air freshener in the bathroom smelling like citric smells, once I open tooth paste I can smell that specific tooth paste smell which smells like sulfuric acid with a touch of sweetness, I enjoy the smell.
- Taste - Once the tooth paste has made contact with my tongue I can taste that specific tooth paste taste which is fresh and livens my mouth waking me up from my sleep, throughout the brushing process the taste doesn't change and remains fresh until I spit out the tooth paste and then some of the past lingers amongst my tongue which keeps that taste for the next 30minutes unless compromised with breakfast or a beverage. The taste of toothpaste is tingly on my tongue which feels nice and makes me happy, makes my mouth feel fresh!
- Sight - Sight is vital when brushing your teeth as that is how you can see how toothpaste you apply to bristles, vital as you can have too much or too less! I tend to look at myself in the mirror as I brush my teeth making sure I look pretty for the day, also I look at the movement of my brush in my reflection.
- Sound - Water hitting the bowl, which is violent and loud, always wakes me up in the morning. Once brushing I can internally hear my motions as I move up an down and circular around my mouth making various noises which can also be quite violent, the spitting notion at the end is also violent as you make your body get all the spit to releases from you mouth.
- Touch - Touching the metal tap nob with is cold and then touching the tooth brush which an ergonomic fit which feels quite nice in our hands. Plastic dosnt feel so nice though. I then squeeze the toothpaste pack to release tooth paste. We touch the tap to turn it off once we are finished and we have successfully cleaned our teeth and mouth
From this information I will create a write up about my experience and what I learnt as well as producing two images to support my discovers
