Project One

Ethnography = Literally means "writing about people", studying a culture from the inside for a long time, observing, talking, spending time with the subjects in everyday situations. 

Sensory Ethnography = It is an approach of doing ethnography that takes account of sensory experience, sensory perception and sensory categories that we use to talk about experiences in everyday life. 

Initial Ideas For Project One

Plan/Process:

- Choose an everyday activity
- Perform those activities numerous times documenting all the senses and everything that  
   happens during that time
- Using the information I have documented create a presentation and a write up which    
   shows what I discovered reveling that "oh yeah" reaction from the audience
- Take 2 images or 1 video to to enhance my aesthetic for the presentation and help 
   present my discoveries

Choosing an everyday activity

My general detailed daily routine:

- Wake up (7:00AM)
- Shave (if required on the morning)
- Shower (includes shampooing and cleaning)
- Brush my teeth
- Change into uni gears
- Groom myself (Doing my hair etc)
- Eat breakfast 
- Drive to uni (Newlands -Te Aro)
- Various activities at uni, going to class and studying etc
- Drive home (Te Aro - Newlands)
- Go to the gym
- Shower
- Eat dinner
- Do some uni work, blogging etc
- Go to sleep (11.00-12.00pm)

During these activities there are also many minor activities such as washing hands, preparing food and things like that.

The activities I am going to choose are:

- Eating breakfast
- Showering 
- Driving to uni

I will now perform these activities numerous amounts of time and answer questions that I construct to help me do my final write up for my presentation.
