Project Three - Lomography

Remediations:

Now that I have all my images I have started my remediation process working on each image to create different effects to express through the limo photographs I have taken. 

Here are the 5 images I have chosen to remediate as I found them the most effective:

Remediations

 For alcohol I used a marker to wipe out half of the image as we loose memory as we drink large amounts of alcohol, I used a black maker so when I invert the the image on photoshop the half marked out will be in white giving it more meaning as we can all relate to the next morning when you wake up and don't remember the most of your night.

 For cocaine it makes your heart beat rapidly I tried to portray this through using a pin to make holes throughout the image, I used lots of holes at the top to portray the fast heart beat produced when on the drug and as it wears off you can see it slowly becomes only a few wholes which represent the speed at which the heart is beating.

For ecstasy I wanted to portray this through the way your head spins and you are just feeling like your running around in circles from being so high, I remediated this through using sand paper at a low grit and moving it in a circular motion to create that effect, looks effective I find it visually appealing

 For gasoline I ran the image through water and then scratched the back of the image with my finger nails removing different parts of the image to emphasis that down you get from the sniffing of gasoline its violent and harsh and I illustrated that through the scratched sections in the image.

For marijuana I created a "trippy" effect using water on top of the image but  used blue food coloring which was later inverted into red which emphasized that feeling as it is expressed better through vibrant colors such as red, it effectively expresses my idea and context on weed about the effect it has on the user.
